Welcome to the latest News for 2023 - 2024. Here you will find updates from the day to day activities happening in school.
In today's photo you will see Stars of the Week for the past 2 weeks. We were so busy last week with the Amazing Journey that we didn't have time to get the pics.
Well done to Tykhon, Amber, Sarah, Finn, Daniel, Oscar, Evie, Jacob, Charlotte and Lily.
More congrats to the Wilsons for the Dance and Dexter Showing skills ( although not at the same time ! ) and to Cora and Felicity for their GB awards.
This week's celebration assembly was packed with winners.
First up was our Stars of the Week. Well done to Amelia, Isla, Ezra, Harli, Daniel and Dean.
Then we had our celebration winners which were dominated this week by GB and BB prizes along with various gymnastic and swimming achievements. We are so proud of how you are representing the school in all the activities and clubs that you attend.
Finally we had our AMCA Easter Egg Colouring Competition winners. Well done to all involved and especially our winners.
What a great week to finish the term !
On Tuesday we had our Anahilt's Got Talent. We had such a range of acts - jokes, magic tricks, singing, gymnastics, dance and musical instruments. It was open to anyone that wanted to take part and is really becoming a very special day. Well done to everyone who had the bravery and courage to take part. Please click HERE to see a short video of the day.
Also on Tuesday we welcomed a new afterschool provider to the school. Daryl and his team from ActivityNI are going to trial some clubs in the summer term with a view to extending these next year. We have tried to go away from the norm for a while and we hope you will give them your support.
First up is Lego Club and Nerf Wars. If you wish to register please click the link found HERE.
On Thursday evening I was honoured to be part of the Mayor's Community Awards, where I was able to see Annahilt's very own Tom McGrory take home not one but two prizes. The work that he does around the village is superb and we are all so glad it has been recognised. We held a special assembly in school for Tom this morning where we celebrated his achievements and he presented the Star of the Week prizes to our pupils. We all know however, that this week he is the real star.
An added bonus is that we got a special visit from the Mayor to join in with Tom's celebrations.
The rest of the week was spent rolling eggs and hunting for eggs...the chocolate kind of course !
Thank you for all your support and have a great Easter.
Please see pics below of LOST PROPERTY from the past 12 months. If you recognise anything belonging to your child please send them to pick it up tomorrow or call Mrs Brush in the office.
If not claimed by tomorrow ( Friday 22 March it will be given away )
Congratulations to our Stars of the Week for this week
