  • P7s Finish

    Wed 26 Jun 2019
On Tuesday morning we had a very successful P7 Leavers' 'Showcase Event and Award Ceremony'. Mrs McCune, Mrs Leetch and Mrs Nelson had put in a tremendous amount of hard work and the pupils performed extremely well. Parents and relatives had a lovely morning and the pupils of P1 to P6 lined the driveway to give the P7s a great send off. Later in the evening our PTA organised a fantastic evening for the P7s with bouncy castle, sumo wrestling suits, slushy machine and incredibly good food. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the members of our PTA who organised the event. A lot of preparation before, hard work during and terrific clearing up afterwards. It was a lovely way to finish the year for the P7 pupils and their parents.

There were a few 'small windows' of opportunity earlier in the week where the grass had dried sufficiently to allow pupils to run off their races safely. Over a few days the staff managed to get all races completed and medals were handed out today in assembly. Thank you to the PTA for providing a medal for every pupil along with their goodie bags. A selection of photos show some of the races and some of the medal winners.
  • P6 Apple Store Visit

    Wed 19 Jun 2019
Our P6 pupils headed up to the Apple Store today to take part in an exciting iPad movie making workshop. The pupils were given a tour of the store and the opportunity to try out all sorts of Apple products before taking part in the exciting workshop. There was a lot of creativity and imagination from all the pupils and as always behaviour and attitude was excellent. We all enjoyed a nice stop in McDonald's on the way home for lunch. A huge thank you to David Douglas of 'Cool for School Photography' who funded both the workshop and the transport.
  • Girls' Hockey Tournament

    Tue 18 Jun 2019
Today, eight of our girls visited Dromara PS to take part in their annual hockey tournament. Competition was very tough but the girls played extremely well as a team and with great determination. Their efforts were rewarded as they got to the play offs for third and fourth place and after extra time ended up with a draw which means they finished joint third. Well done girls.
  • P6 Rugby Tournament

    Fri 14 Jun 2019
Our P6 pupils have been getting some coaching in rugby over the last few weeks from one of the Dromore High School coaches. This has been provided to a number of schools and they all came together today at Dromore Rugby Club to take part in a competition. Twelve teams in total took part and the boys and girls from Anahilt PS performed extremely well winning five games, drawing one and only losing one (to the eventual winners!). Excellent rugby, behaviour and attitude from all our pupils made this a terrific day. Well done to Ethan and Rachel for winning best boy and best girl from Anahilt PS.
