  • Single Use Plastic Competition Winners

    Fri 03 May 2019
A huge congratulations to five of our P7 pupils for winning the Primary category of the 'Plastic Waste' competition organised recently by the Education Authority. The event was open to schools across the country and out of the forty entries our school was placed first overall winning an incredible £500 for the school. Matthew, Jack, Katie, Hannah and Faith had worked very hard putting together photostories, writing letters to local companies, parents and the community association raising awareness about the issue of single-use plastic prior to the Easter break. The judges highlighted how impressed they were with the standard of entries and today (Friday) the P7 pupils received their prize at an award ceremony in Riverside School in Antrim. Well done. The prize money will be used to fund resources to help us continue to improve our ability to recycle at Anahilt Primary School.
