Seven of our P5 pupils who attend our afterschool coaching headed off to Lisburn to represent Anahilt PS in the latest CK Coaching Tournament. The boys put on a great display of football coupled with a very positive attitude through every game and were proud to draw two games and win one game with goals from Finlay and William. Well done boys.
A big thank you to Mrs Irvine who organised a P5 Cycle Skills morning with our Sustrans NI Officer Claire Lundy. Initially the plan was to get outside on the bikes but the relentless rainfall all morning put an end to that idea. Thankfully Claire came prepared for Plan B and led a very interesting and fun session on bicycle maintenance in the classroom with a specific focus on puncture repairs. We have agreed to run the outdoor cycle skills session in Term 2 and hopefully get a dry day this time. See more photos on P4/5 and P5/6 class pages.
Our pupils and staff wore yellow today to highlight the very important issue of Respect in schools. Pupils had been taking part in specific activities as part of the National Anti-Bullying Week and it was nicely rounded off with a 'Wear Yellow for Respect Day'.
