A big shoutout to Mrs Irvine's class for entering the Scarecrow Competition at Montalto! Our Spooky Anna was designed and made by the pupils, and we felt it fulfilled the brief of recycling really well! Whilst we didn’t win it was great to see how much the class came together to complete the scarecrow and they made us all very proud! Spooky Anna will be on display until after the half term holidays in Montalto, so pop along and see her for yourself.

It was a busy week last week but here are some pics to highlight the 'Stars' we have in Anahilt !
Firstly, last weeks Stars of the Week winners were Ivy, Nell, Johnny, Lavanya, Iona and Alice. Well done...... and the pizza vouchers are on their way !
Next up were the Pumpkin winners - Abel, Joshua, Tobi, Isla, Bella, Felicity and Ria. A fantastic effort by everyone. Thank you !
And finally, Hannah took home loads of medals from her Scottish Dancing competition last weekend. Well done Hannah !
We couldn't be more thrilled to share the incredible news about our very own George Gowan! Selected as one of the lucky mascots for Northern Ireland’s sensational victory against Bulgaria on 15 October, George definitely played a pivotal role in a historic win!
The boys in green made us proud with a remarkable 5-0 scoreline, a result we haven’t seen since April 1971! That was a night to remember when another George – the legendary George Best – netted a hat trick against Cyprus. And now, it seems George Gowan has brought a sprinkle of that magic back!
We are celebrating our lucky mascot George who did Anahilt PS proud and by all accounts had a wonderful night.
Some details for tomorrow night from a school perspective:
I want to thank the PTA for organising and running this event in what is a very busy time.
1. It is a half term disco - it can be Halloween themed ( although it is early due to the hall being set up Harvest Services next week ! ) , it can be harvest themed, it can be princess / superhero themed or it can have no theme and they just wear whatever they want. It really doesn't matter. It's a time to get the whole school together and have some fun.
2. There will be other activities in quieter rooms for those who find the music and lights a bit too much. However, please remember this is a PTA event and being run by parent volunteers. If you feel it may not be right for your child please err on the side of caution.
3. It will be getting dark at pick up. Please come to the hall just before 8pm and pick up from there. Pupils will not be released outside themselves, regardless of age.
4. The disco is only open to current Anahilt Primary School pupils.
5. If older pupils require mobiles for pick up etc. they must be checked in at the beginning of the night with staff. We cannot allow recordings/ cameras/ videos being taken by anyone other than the 'official' photographer 😊
We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night !
