  • P7 Pupils Speak at QUB Conference

    Mon 10 Jun 2019

Earlier in the term five of our primary 7 pupils won a 'Single Use Plastics' competition organised by the Education Authority. Subsequently the five pupils were invited to present to an audience of over 60 delegates at a special launch at Queen's University. The University has been awarded funding of £1 million to research tackling the issue of plastic waste and our pupils gave a presentation explaining the efforts they had put in to the issue at school level. The children performed extremely well and really enjoyed their tour of the Polymer department at Queen's. Thank you to all the staff at Queen's who were so welcoming and well done to the boys and girls.

  • New Climbing Trails Opened.

    Sun 09 Jun 2019
Members of our PTA ran a very successful Coffee morning on Saturday. The main focus of the morning was the 'Official' opening of our new playground climbing trails. Our PTA with the support of the local community have worked very hard over the last 18 months to raise nearly £30000 to fund two climbing trails for our playground, one for the junior pupils and one for the senior pupils. PTA member and local councillor Andrew Gowan along with Chair of Governors Rev Gareth McFadden were in attendance to officially open the new trails. It was a great opportunity for parents and members of the local community to see first hand what they had invested in.
