Welcome to the latest News for 2023 - 2024. Here you will find updates from the day to day activities happening in school.
Well done everyone!
This week we celebrated a quadruple Birthday. Twins Lavanya and Shivanya in P1 along with Jack and Daniel in P7 all had their birthdays on Thursday. What a coincidence!
Well done to all !!
We had some visitors in to school today. They ranged from Mary Poppins, Wally, Mr Strong, Pinocchio and even Harry Potter himself. It was of course World Book Day and great fun was had by all. There were various activities around the classrooms, a live lesson for P5/6/7 with famous people reading book extracts online and a parade around the school playground by all pupils to showcase their efforts. Well done to everyone – it was a wonderful day. Some of the staff managed to get their photo taken at the end of the school day. Mrs Nelson ( Cowgirl ) and Mrs Cunningham ( Little Miss Late ) were spared the embarrassment ! See if you can spot some more of your favourite book characters on the class pages over the next few days.
It was Pancake Tuesday in Anahilt this week. The classes made pancakes, toasted pancakes, decorated their pancakes with all sorts of wonderful toppings and most importantly ate far too many pancakes between them! Afterwards many classes discussed how to make them, looked at how they had worked together to achieve this and also the steps needed to make the best pancakes to enjoy at home and in school. All our pancake making can be seen on the class pages.
