NI 100 Tree

The Northern Ireland Office offered every school in Northern Ireland a tree to plant in their grounds, to mark both Northern Ireland’s Centenary and COP26. We received our tree last week and Mrs Huddleston, with the help of her husband planted the tree in the school grounds at the front of the school yesterday afternoon. P1-7 pupils have had their photo taken beside the tree and all pupils have been to see the tree and learn about its significance. We look forward to seeing our tree growing and maturing in the years to come and future generations will be reminded of this special year for all the people of Northern Ireland. A special plaque is attached to the tree which states: ‘Planting for a Positive Future’.
