Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are making every effort to proceed with Sports Day tomorrow. We believe this is a very important event for the children, offering valuable experiences beyond the normal classroom routine, and we are keen to protect it if at all possible.

At present, the plan is to go ahead as scheduled. However, the weather is making this decision very, very challenging so I am leaving the decision as late as possible. If conditions in the morning are not suitable, we will make a decision to postpone until later in the day in the first instance, or, if necessary, cancel at short notice in the morning. Apologies for this, but it is so difficult to predict and each weather forecast says something different! 

To help us plan for all possibilities, we kindly ask that your child comes to school with a packed lunch. School dinners have not been arranged with the kitchen in Ballynahinch, and if Sports Day cannot go ahead, pupils will remain in school until the usual finishing time.

*Regardless of finishing times Afterschool club will not run*
